Homes Are About To Get Much Smarter

Most of what we call a smart home today is still a set of rules somebody typed in by hand. That is about to shift.

In this clip I sketch where I think things are heading once systems can interpret a situation instead of just matching a condition.

Whether that feels helpful or slightly unsettling probably depends on the person.
