Upgrade your home: DIY Home Assistant smart video doorbell placed in classic intercom housing

In this video I explain how I am building a first version of a DIY smart video doorbell built into the existing housing of my classic intercom using a Raspberry Pi, a Raspi camera and a push button circuit. The smart video doorbell is connected to Home Assistant and sends notifications to our smart phones including a camera snapshot, sends a ringtone notification to our Amazon Echo and opens an alert popup including the live video stream on our Home Assistant Dashboards.
