Sleep Mode with AI – Smarter Than Any Rule in Home Assistant

In this video, I show you how to manage the sleep mode in your smart home without relying on rigid or overly complicated rule sets. Traditional automations often break as soon as daily life gets messy — but an AI-driven approach can adapt to your real behavior because it is rather probability based.

My solution uses an AI model that evaluates the recent history of multiple Home Assistant sensors and calculates the probability of whether sleep mode should be activated. This probability check is executed inside an n8n flow, which then hands the final decision back to Home Assistant. The result: a much smarter and more reliable sleep mode automation that adjusts to your real lifestyle.

If you want a smarter and more flexible home, this episode gives you everything you need to build the same setup.
